Our Next President

Since nobody I know will go out on the limb to say it --- I will. Our next president will be JOHN KERRY!!!! So how do I know this??

Since the Redskins became the Redskins in 1936, the result of the team's final home game before the presidential election has correctly predicted the White House winner. If the Redskins win, the incumbent party wins. If they lose, the incumbent party is ousted.

Well, since the Packers beat the Redskins today (sorry Dad - that had to be tough), the fate of the election was sealed. In the last 24 hours, John Kerry has gone from being down to GW 282-247, to being up now 283-246 .... what a difference 24 hours can make! Now granted, the latest electoral predictor changes ALOT (you can click on the sign in the right margin)...I will be the first to go out and say KERRY WINS!!!

And if he does, I will be one of the HAPPIEST campers alive!

November 3rd cannot come fast enough for me.....here's why.
Green Bay is the 67th largest market in the US, but ranks 4th (yes 4th) in the US in saturation of political ads on TV!!!! EVERY FREAKING 7 MINUTES THERE IS ANOTHER POLITICAL AD!!!! And they cant show just 1 - OH NO!! They have to show every political party's ad for every seat up for grabs in the entire STATE!!!!

I wish they would put all the money they put into political advertising into educating out kids - then maybe we wont rank among the 3rd world nations when it comes to our kids education levels.

AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John Kerry is going to win - they can stop advertising now.

Well I am tired - it is off to Sleepy-ville. Have a good week!

Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox

A very big congratulations goes out to the 2004 MLB World Series Champions, and they did it in dramatic fashion. A leadoff homerun from Johnny Damon is all they needed.....Derrick Lowe pitch phenominally, and they swept the St Louis Cardinals in 4 games.....the very same St Louis Cardinals that everyone was saying would take it all.

For Terry Francona, this is bitter sweet. When he was with the Phillies, he did fairly well, but they just wouldnt go out and get that one person they needed to take them to the next level, and of course, this is the manager's fault. I will give credit where credit is due - thru all the injuries, all the doubting, all the bad press, and all the BS this year, he was able to show the world that he could do it.

CONGRADULATION TERRY FRANCONA!!! YOU DID IT!!!

1918 is now officially history!

Curt, Pedro, Johnny, Terry - they all have their rings now :)

I just hope I dont wake up tomorrow morning and see a million stupid people cause ruckus and destroy Boston......I hope they celebrate respectfully - enjoy this time - and dont pull a "Montreal" and destroy their own town and people's livelyhoods.

I am tire - I am off to Sleepy-ville

Elections and stuff

I thought it would be nice to see where the electoral votes are currently showing...... So over in the right hand column, you will see an Electoral Vote tracker....it will update automatically when you come to the page :)

All I have to say is if we have 4 more years of Bush, it will be 4 more years of hell....the rich keep getting richer, the poor keep getting poorer, the middle class slowly fades away into non-existence, and the national debt grows by the trillions. In 4 years, we went from not having a deficit, to being $3 TRILLION dollars in debt! It took over 200 years to get to $1b in debt, and only 12 more get to $3T!!!!
I'm sorry - some people dont like to discuss politics, but I am not afraid. I cant stand George W. Bush - his whole agenda was to try and finish what "Daddy" couldnt and that was get Osama...and it cost us - 9/11 ring any bells??
When Bush gives tax breaks to those corporations who send jobs overseas to those "Oh please do stop PEEPEE in Slurpee machine" "No Vinston juss Camel - one hump or two?" "I am not knowing" people (yeah you know who they are), that just pisses me off to no end. I have been trying to get my Palm fixed - it stopped taking a charge for no apparent reason what so ever (besides that it was 1 year and 1 month after I got it)...and I have had to deal with Arunda, Ramesh, and Pavel, none of which have been able to comprehend one thing - IS THERE A SERVICE CENTER IN WISCONSIN??!!! They keep telling me how to reset it, charge it, and call their "$25 per call" call center for help.......I am to the point when I hear that "delay" in the phone (and you all know what I mean) when your call just got sent to India, I just hang up and refuse to deal with Ramesh or any of his buddies - and any company that refuses to keep jobs in the US for that count.

Can ya tell I am pissed yet??

I havent even gotten started........

Dell used to have their customer service in Austin Texas (since day 1). Then in 2000 they decided to move it to India......Bad Move......within a year, it was BACK in the US, based upon the mail, calls, and letters they were getting, stating that they could not understand the problems, were improperly diagnosing machines, and (gee this is a shocker) could not understand most of the people that were helping them (I AM NOT KNOWING).......the way I see it, like I said above, if the company cant keep jobs in the US, I wont deal with them.....there is a difference between manufacturing parts for a PC (Taiwan, China, etc) and having customer service in India.....

OK Off of my soapbox for now

Bill, I am sorry your Astros are not going to the World Series....please step AWAY from the ledge (LOL).......they gave it a good fight, but it came down to pitching, and StL had a better staff going into the playoff than the Astros, and Game7 proved to be the killer sting
At this point, time to pull out a BoSox hat and root for the Sox (Right Crawl??)

Speaking of Crawl (That is my Brother-in-Law Dave)-congrats on you and Audie getting your house :) That is soooooo cool! Maybe if time allows we can take an overnighter to Mass to see it

well it is late here.......I am off to Sleepy-ville for the night - Have a good weekend!

Hello.......I must be going

I came to say the Yanks cant stay they MUUUUUUUUUST be going!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!! All I have to say is I am SOO happy that the Yankees got their ASSES KICKED tonight - Johnny Damon - as if the grand slammy wasnt enough. He had to add a 2-run dinger the very next at bat....Johnny Damon ALONE sent the overpaid Yankees to their vacations.....A-Rod will hop his private jet to somewhere....and I wont have to hear about them for at least 3½ months!! WOOHOO!!! And by then George will have spent another $160+ million dollars to get a ring.

The RED SOX are heading to the WORLD SERIES!!! 10-3 over the Yanks -NOW Who's your DADDY?!

Now on to more IMPORTANT things.......

The Colts hosts the Jacksonville Jaguars...I am just hoping that Peyton and the boys have a stellar game......and keep up their winning ways! So far Peyton has a 114.1 QB rating, 14 TDs and only 3 INTs........more than I can say for that team from near LSU.......and for those who thought I was kidding when I went back to being a Colts fan.....have I ever not made good on my word?? One can only take so much CRAPPY PLAYING from a team year after year after year....the only reason I stopped rooting for the Colts is that I was miffed about their Midnight Madness Mayflower move to Indianapolis......I grew up a Colts fan, watching them play in Memorial Stadium (the miracle on 34th Street) -

Well worth the read

well it is late....I am off to sleepy-ville :) See ya later!!

Happy Anniversary

Well, today is Michelle and I's 4th weding anniversary. Hard to believe it has been 4 years already. Time flies when life goes as fast as it does. 4 years ago right now, I was standing at the front of St John's Church looking at the most beautiful woman in the world, the whole time my best man is yelling in my ear "BREATHE MAN BREATHE!!!!"......I was almost hyperventilating and didnt even know it!

Needless to say, I am still as happy today as I was 4 years ago, even more so now with our daughter McKenna, who will be 3 in just a couple of weeks. Speaking of which, 1 week after her birthday, we get to go see SEASAME STREET LIVE®!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!! I know McKenna is totally excited
:)

More later, take care!
