Happy Easter

Its been quite a while (6 months) since I have sat down to write. Alot has gone on in my life. Sometimes you have to lighten the load on the plate. Even when I lightened my load, it seems like some days I cant get my wheels to turn fast enough. Some days I feel like I have ran a marathon, but never left the starting gate. God blesses me every day. He keeps me safe while I drive all over this country of ours. He provides me shelter, food, and a means to make my living.

So why is it that sometimes I doubt Him?

My friend Dawn once said "...when I feel like my life is out of center, I start looking at how much I am going to church. Its my center." For me, church is not something I am able to do regularly. My job takes me away from my house so I dont have the ability to attend a building for a church to worship, so I do it in my own way. I keep my bible with me in the truck while I am travelling around the country. I read it, and I also have a program on my Droid to send me a new verse daily from the bible.

My Easter will be spent with my kids, and I will be taking them to our traditional Easter dinner (a family restaurant that puts on a FABULOUS holiday meal). My God continue to Bless you all :)

We're not going to comment on how far behind I am on my blog reading. Just wanted to ask if you have a devotional book to bring with you on your trips. I have two devotionals I do. I subscribe to one call Portals of Prayer--it arrives every 3 months & there are daily devotions with Bible readings & prayers--I read that one before bed every evening & there is a morning & evening prayer for each day as well. I also get one delivered to my email--the Lutheran Hour Ministries Daily Devotion--I read it at the end of my lunch break every day. During Lent & Advent, I usually find a seasonally appropriate devotional (I own several of each now) to add to my evening devotions. Just thought, since I know church can be tough when you're so frequently on the road, that maybe a devotional would provide a little additional spiritual food as well.
